A group of young adults who reside in North Tonawanda held their first Niagara County Young Republican Meeting on April 23rd at the North Tonawanda Public Library.

The meeting was a “great success” consisting of nearly 40 people attending from various locations ranging from Lockport, North Tonawanda, Wilson, Niagara Wheatfield, and Niagara Falls.

They had two representatives from Senator Ortt’s office there, countless city officials from North Tonawanda including Mayor Pappas and County Legislator Rich Andres who was also recently appointed to “Niagara County GOP Chairman” Andres spoke at the meeting.

Andres stated “The skill set I learned while participating in the Young Republicans was something that I was able to carry throughout my life and still utilize to this day as Niagara County GOP Chair”.

Throughout the meeting it was stressed that getting involved in this group is great way to get involved with the republican party in general.

Many things were discussed throughout the meeting, including Alex Quinn NCYGOP President stating that “This group is here for a common goal, making Niagara County as great as it can and should be”.

Alex also said “ This group is not about political dominance in the county, it’s about like minded people coming together to make the city and the county a better place” Alex concluded saying if they know anyone interested in going to please reach out.

Kiel Davignon talked about the importance of voting and voter turnout through the past 10 years, he is also out marketing/social media specialist.

Jacob Quinn, the Chief VP, gave a brief summary on a project they started. The project consists of putting 30 3×5 American flags on Oliver street for memorial day.

Joe Marranca the Executive VP discussed what it meant for him to be a republican. He concluding his introduction with a quote from Ronald Reagan that states “we can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone”.

Erik Doman the Spokesperson for them spoke a lot about the potential he sees in Niagara County and all the endless possibilities and opportunities.

The meeting ended with a interactive session.

They asked the crowd “what are the biggest issues this country faces?” Their were many responses, but most centered on illegal immigration, free speech, fake news/biased media and attacks on 2nd amendment rights.

The NCYGOP is currently looking for members and would love any conservative minded people to come out to their next meeting to check it out.
